Let’s put Eve back into New Year’s Day, shall we? Eve from the Garden of Eden, that is. If Eve could have a fresh start to polish that apple with her deepest yearnings, maybe that apple would still be whole.
Think of it!
No more guilt!
So what if it would have taken 2,000 years to get it right!
That’s what resolve is all about, isn’t it? To get it right this time. In fact, I think Webster should respell the word resolve to: “re-solve.” Re-solving means we knew how to get it right the first time, didn’t we?
So, what’s up with all this fuss about keeping a New Year’s Re-solve-lution? Why don’t we just do it?
Maybe it’s because we enjoy sinking our teeth into temptation!
And we do!
Does that mean keeping a New Year’s Re-solve-lution could be as simple as finding a new temptation?
Ha! Nice try! NOT!
But now that I think of it….
…. I wonder what those apples taste like!

Happy New Year! I’m sure 2013 will be the best one ever. The joy each new year brings seems to increase beyond our expectations. I’m sure it will be filled with more fun, friends, and music. Best wishes for the New Year.
Happy New Year, George! I just spent New Year’s with Claude Stein at Esalen learning to sing. Watch out!
Here’s to sinking our teeth into temptation. Happy New Year to you, Gayle!
Hi Gayle,
This is quite a new twist on Eve. Very thought provoking. I can’t help but wonder what resolve Adam would decide on, if given the chance. Perhaps own up to his responsibility in this scenario, ha!
Wishing you and Michael a very Happy New Year and looking forward to moe of
your La Dolce thoughts. Peggie
Happy New Year Gail!
Thanks, Lynda! You too…..
Happy “Re-solve” New Year to you too, Maddens! Love, joanne
Smooches and hugs to you, Sweet Joanne!
Hi Gayle,
I re-solve to polish every apple which comes my way.
And then bake a pie!
Love,
Pamela
Can’t wait for the invite for fresh-baked apple pie, and ice cream!

Bittersweet taste lasts the longest!
Hoping your New Year is full of delights….and just doing it!
Hopefully some of that delight will be finding a new favorite tea! Sure miss your tea house!
Happy New Year, Gayle!(and Mr. Mike, of course…and THE BOYS!)
So…I will be expecting to have a “singing” get together with you soon! We can use our diaphrams (I know…)and test out our vocal chords. I know it will be a very wonderful experience for both of us!!
