Dental Work: Good Grief!

Can you feel my pain? 🙂

Open Wide!

Open Wide!

This may not look like much fun to you! Unless, of course, you were the one wearing those funny looking glasses. But I’m here to tell you this was fun for me!

Oh, I don’t mean the

poke, poke, poke,

scrape, scrape, scrape,

swish, swish, swish

spit.

I mean the fact that I could be sitting in this reclined position while a medical professional worked to improve my health.

I’ve had a lot of help lately, thank God! And thank every one of those dedicated healers!

As for Kim Perry, the registered dental hygienist who cleaned my teeth yesterday, a special thank you. It’s been a long time coming.

For most of 2011 I was too nauseated to brush my teeth. But that didn’t worry me too much, as I was too sick to eat! Besides, my oncologist wouldn’t let me have any dental work done, as my immune system was “too compromised.”

Now that I’m back to eating and drinking and having an immune system that can stand on its own two feet, I am resuming my normal activities. God love ’em all!

Besides, isn’t that what our prayers really say for loved ones who might be suffering? That their health and lives may return to normal?

Well, rest assured, my life is returning to normal, and I’m thrilled to be looking into the face, albeit a little covered, of Kim Perry, the beautiful hygienist who is once again in my life! Ouch!

“Oh, does that hurt?”

Scary picture. One of my least favorite things required for healthy living though. I don’t know that you can consider it “enjoyable” but compared to a lot of other things, maybe more enjoyable than some medically necessary procedures we must endure as we mature.

Love that positive spin on getting dental work! Next topic – taxes? My parents always said it was a privilege to pay them. So glad to hear about your brave strong immune system! Mine has been doing a great job, too!

Hi My Friend Jan! Taxes. Hmmmm, now that IS a stretch. How is your “new” lifestyle treating you? I’d like to see a picture of you with your hair grown back. Has it?

At least the last dentist I used did not use the horse speculum. (thing to keep mouth open)
    Glad you are healthy again.
